L’Aquila in 2009 suffered an earthquake that canceled its time and history in a few moments; this fact makes us unable to imagine its future identity. We probably have the ability to reconstruct buildings, but we certainly don’t know yet how to manage the complex process of recovering the economic, social, cultural and creative dimensions of the city. L’Aquila needs to produce its culture for its community a vision for the future, a model of rebirth and new forms of development.

The work focuses on the integration of the mechanisms underlying an evolutionary design with the aim of achieving advantages not only in the anti-seismic field but also in the energy field, and at the same time stimulating the creative process. It is necessary to pass from “collapse” to “rebirth”.
